Step 5 & 6 Club survey – continuation or curtailment of the 2020/21 season

The FA’s Leagues Committee has regularly discussed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on football at Steps 5 & 6 of the National League System. As part of these discussions, and given the impact of the current lockdown, the Committee wishes to canvass the opinions of Clubs as to how the season should continue or if a curtailment is required.

The Leagues Committee have invited Clubs to complete an online survey. In addition to the survey link, Clubs have also been sent a full copy of the survey, enabling them to share it with their Board/Management Committee so that a collective position can be agreed prior to competition. The survey document is also intended to provide a background understanding of how the Committee has approached the compilation of the survey and the implications of the different options available. Clubs are also able to make alternative proposals as to the next steps for the 2020/21 season.

Clubs have until 23:59 on Friday 22 January 2021 to complete the survey. The results of this survey will be compiled by the FA and used to inform the recommendation that is put to the FA Council for consideration.
