This year’s Photo of The Season has been awarded to Haydn Jones from Shepton Mallet Football Club.
Haydn, who takes photos at nearly all Shepton Mallet games at the age of 82 submits photos to the league website every week and often features in The Bulletin.
The judging panel of Ian Nockolds, Debbie Gould and James Healey were all in agreement that Haydn’s photo from the game betweeen Shepton Mallet and Brislington in October 2021 was a worthy winner.
Judge Debbie Gould said: “Haydn’s photo is a brilliant image. His timing was perfect to capture the action. The composition is good and has an impact without a distracting background, your eye is taken straight to the player who has caught the ball and also has a great facial expression.”
