The draw for the Preliminary and First Round of The Les Phillips Cup took place this evening (Tuesday 23rd November) at Longwell Green Sports.
The format of the cup is set out below followed by the Preliminary Round games and First Round games.
PRELIMINARY ROUND
4 groups of 10 have been established, see below
4 clubs will be drawn in pairs from each group, to reduce the number of clubs from 40 to 32.
The venue for each Match will be that of the first named team.
iaw Rule 8 (a) if the score is tied after 90 min, the teams shall determine the winner by taking penalties
The winners will compete in the next Round.
ROUND ONE
(4 groups of 8)
Winning clubs to be randomly drawn in pairs, the venue for each Match will be that of the first named.
The winners will compete in the next Round.
ROUND TWO
(Two groups of 8)
The winning clubs from Group A to be combined with the winning clubs from Group B The winning clubs from Group C to be combined with the winning clubs from Group D Clubs within each group to be randomly drawn in pairs, the venue for each Match will be that of the first named.
The winners will compete in the next Round.
QUARTER FINALS
All the winning clubs to be randomly drawn in pairs, the venue for each Match will be that of the first named.
The winners will compete in the next Round.
SEMI FINALS
Winning clubs to be randomly drawn in pairs, the venue for each Match will be that of the first named.
The winners will compete in the next Round.
